Not gonna lie! I have not read the book... but will shortly! I can tell you that I have watched Amanda in her life journey. She has been authentic in "life" with the many curves and twists her life journey has taken. I have wept and laughed out loud at her blog posts. I look forward to updating my review after my read.... but till then... I encourage you to "take a risk" with me. Pretty safe bet you will love it!
This book made me laugh until I cried. Through the tears of laughter I felt the warmth of Amanda's spirit as I related to the pain of divorce and the healing touch of God's presence. This is a must read for anyone who has every had divorce or any tragedy touch their lives. Thank you for this amazing gift.
I've read just a couple of sneak peeks of the rough draft and was dying! Shock humor and the realities of life are just the icing on the cake of the deeper message of the spiritual journey! Enjoy!
Everything that comes from this amazing woman's brain is epic! She's clearly found her calling.
This book is FRESH, FUNNY, and full of real FAITH. Few people have the ability to share personal stories in print and yet make you feel like you are right there with them, relating personally all the way. It doesn't read like a manufactured book that has neat and tidy chapter after neat and tidy chapter. So be willing to read in a different format and style. But that's what makes this book so refreshing- nothing about life, mine nor Amanda's seems to have been neat and tidy in the first place. This would make a great gift to someone who needs a refreshing twist on devotionals or journaling.
